My Thesis Statement

my thesis statment:

A Compartive Analysis of Selected Rock Music Videos shows that Local bands are technically and conceptually at par with western music videos.

Obviously, I'm kinda promoting OPM with this statement. Maybe because I think that some don't like Local Music because of many reasons. By this statement, I'll have to prove that bands/artist in the US are not the only one who can create good music and music videos. Also, I have to prove tht just because they are in the US, they are'nt just the ones who are good.

According to my groupmates, "we should live my life to the fullest". Of course, these famous statement is true. We should not wait to know how much our lifespan is before we live our life seriously. We should no expect that we should live forever because eventually, thre will be an end to it. Life is not just a game where if we die, we can respawn or ressurct. Weare not god who has te pow of immoratlity. Someday, somehow, we will reach the end. Thsre is a short film entitled "Our Time is Up", that talks on hw we shoul liv life to the fullest.

The film is about Dr. Stern, a psychiatrist who is not taking his patients seriously and not really curing their mental ailness. The film starts showing the doctors daily routine. Then, it shows his patients with different kinds of illness. After that day, he recieve a phone call that he has only six weeks left. When he heard that, he then, treat his patients and try to cure them. After some sessions with him, his patients thank him for helping them with their illness.

The film, I think is classified under short film and there is a possibility that it is a biography beause although it showsmany characters, it jut tals about one man. Justlike any biography, t show the important events about the protagonist and being a short film, it only shows the part of his life where he has only six weeks left. Without a doubt, the film has moral lessons.
It is a must to watch this film although it's short because it has value in it.

Poverty : Can They Lead To Death?

Many people are experiencing poverty. We may not know it but there are poor people everywhere. Poverty has many causes and different effects. One of it's causes are lack of support from the govermentwhich will lead to the lack of jobs. Another cause is the greed of some rich people. Because of their greed, they always get money from the one's paid by the people. The third cause is lack of edcation. This has two causes. One of them is also lack of support from the government. Another is because of lziness, people will not be able to finish their studies which will give them a hard time to get a decent job. One last cause is people do not know how to save money. They just spend and spend mney without realizing that they don't have enough money.

Poverty also has different effects. Because of lack of education, they bcome illiterate and will not have decent jobs which will lead to becoming more poorer. Another effect is malnutrition. This is because they don't have enough money o buy food. Malnutriotn, then ,will lead to death because they will also don't have money to buy medicine. Another effects will be more drug addicts. Because of this, there will be more crimes which can aslo lead to death.

Overall, if poverty is not solved, there will be more deaths. We should not always depend on charity works for poverty to be solve. We should also study harder for us to be not like them and will have a chance to help those in need.

Our Musical Taste....

Every one of us has different tastes. From the foods that we eat, the girls/boys that we like and from the shows that we like. One example that shows that we have different taste is on Musical Genres. Some of us like Rock than Hip-hop, like Classical from Rock and like International Music than OPM. Of course, it is inevitable that there is also a kind of Music that we hate. I myself, can personally say that Hip-Hop is trash music because I don't like it. Others will prefer classical from rock because they can say that Rock is just noise. Others, due to some unknown reason, will say that International Music is better than OPM because it has more class. But leaving our personal opnions aside, we should not critisize music because of our personal preference. Of course, we would feel a bit hurt if our favorite genre is being critisized.
What I'm trying to say is, we should not critisized music depending on our preference. We should let others appreciate what they like and ourselves to appreciate what we like. Let the Rockers do their thing and for the Rappers to do theirs. Something like that.

Camping

Tomorrow will be the NSTP camping..There are so many things to expect during campings.
What will be the activities. Will there be some unexpected things that could happend. Also, during those camping, we should not let our guard down. We should be alert especially at night. We should also bring all neccesary things to bring like medicines, tents, first-aid kits and some more. Most of all, we have to enjoy....That's all.....

Arpeggios

Arpeggio is a musical term for a succesion of notes. For guitarist, it is commonly known as "sweep picking". It is defined a " broken chord where the notes are played or sung in succession rather than simultaneously. " It can be described as a skill that many guitarist want to aquire. For some, it is difficult to play arpeggios because it requires timing and speed. Arpeggios are commonly heard at the end of a guitar solo. It is mostly used in neo-classical music and rock music. Famous guitarist who uses arpeggios are Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Slash and Steve Vai.




In the OPM scene, the guitarist of Rocksteddy is known for using this almost every guitar solo. It is one of the famous skills because it creates a good melody on any tempo. One way to master this skill is to pracice playing this from a slow tempo to a fast one. Another thing to remember in playing Arpeggio is that it should be played from a certain scale like a Major Scale or a Pentatonic Minor. Although it is widely used in Rock Music, Arpeggios can alos be used on some ballads like the one from Richard Marx's "Now and Forever". Even though it is hard, just by practicing it everyday can help guitarist aquire one of the most famous skills on guitar playing.

School Rumble!

Hi!..I just want to have an Anime Review right now although this plot came from Wikipedia. This is about an anime entitled School Rumble.

"The plot of School Rumble covers the daily lives of students of the fictional Yagami High School and their surroundings. The series is of the romance comedy genre, with scenes in the story being exaggerated for comedic purposes.
The heroine is Tenma Tsukamoto, a second year high school girl with no special qualities who has a crush on Oji Karasuma, a stonefaced eccentric. The generally clueless Tenma finds it difficult to confess her love to him. Complications arises with Kenji Harima, the male protagonist and a delinquent, who has developed a crush on Tenma. He too has difficulty confessing to her. The attempts of the two characters to confess their respective loves are running gags seen throughout the series.
As the series progresses, the story changes focus to the relationship that develops between Harima and Tenma's close friend, Eri Sawachika, which results from various embarrassing situations involving Eri and Harima. Harima also develops a relationship with Tenma's younger sister Yakumo Tsukamoto, who begins to assist Harima with the development and drawing of his manga.
As the story progresses, Harima gets himself into romantic situations with Tenma, the relationship between Tenma and Karasuma progresses, and Eri's and Yakumo's bonds with Harima grow stronger."

While watching this anime, I realized how much I miss my High School life were we got to stay in one classroom and our section work together during contest and other stuff, where there are some love affairs and all that. Also, I realized how much I have wasted my High School life because during those times, I did not bother to mingle with anyone at all. All I talked to is to just my three friends. Anyway, if your a fan of Anime and Love Stories, you should definitely watch this.

Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix

Harry was hanging out in the park when his cousin Dudley appeared bullying Harry. Then some strange things happen that made them leave the park. When they reach the tunnel, they saw a dementor. Harry casts a Patronus charm on the Dementor. When they got home, Dudley was sent to the Hospital leaving Harry alone in their house. .Orr of the Phoenix members soon arrive to escort Harry to their secret headquarters at the Black family home, Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place in London. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger enter their fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Meanwhile, Harry has been seeing into Voldemort's mind through his dreams. Harry immediately tells Dumbledore, who believes that Voldemort may have a connection to Harry's mind. Harry begins lessons with Professor Snape to close his mind in the event that Lord Voldemort should become aware of the connection between Harry's mind and his own. Hagrid's half-brother, the giant Grawp, assists Harry and Hermione to escape. Harry, Ron, and Hermione, with D.A. members Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood, fly to the Ministry of Magic. In the Hall of Prophecy, Harry and his friends discover a small glowing orb with Harry's name on it. When Harry retrieves it, he finds that it contains a prophecy about himself and Voldemort. The Death Eaters follow them and manage to capture Harry's friends, whom Malfoy threatens to kill if Harry does not hand over the prophecy. Harry's friends are freed, and the battle continues. A voice appears in Harry's head, taunting him to kill Lestrange. Harry attempts to attack him, but Voldemort disarms him. Before Voldemort can kill Harry, Dumbledore appears. Voldemort attempts to possess Harry, as Dumbledore looks on. The Ministry is forced to acknowledge its error, and Dumbledore and Harry are vindicated. Dumbledore then discusses with Harry the contents of the prophecy Voldemort wanted so badly, which states that "neither can live while the other survives"; therefore, Harry must either kill Voldemort or be killed by Voldemort.

Action or Strategy?

Computer Games are famous these days. You can almost see many computer shops offering different kinds of Computer Games. Two of the most famous genres are Action Games and Strategy Games. Action Games are of course, games that has actions and somewhat has violence. Examples of these games are “Counter Strike”, “Half-Life” and “Rainbow Six”. Strategy Games, on the other hand, are games that require strategies and due to its perspective, which is a typically in bird’s eye view, it is less violent. Examples of these games are “Warcraft III”, “Command and Conquer” and “Age of Empires”. On choosing which one is better, we have to consider some factors. One factor is the games speed. Different players choose their games depending on what speed they prefer. Although technically, the games speed can be adjusted, Action Games are more of a fast-paced game while Strategy Games are a slow-paced game. Another factor is the cost. The cost of the games depends on how long it is played. The more long the games is, the more you pay on computer shops which is paid depending on the hours you play or the more your electric bills cost higher. Being a fast-paced game, Action Games cost less because the games ends faster while strategy games cost more because it ends slower. Another factor is the gameplay itself. If you like games where it can enhance your thinking and where you can plan strategies and is unpredictable, then go for Strategy Games but if you like action-packed games where there are action everywhere and is based on how quickly you react then you should go for Action Games. One last factor is the player itself. Sometimes, the player isn’t good in strategies but can react quickly and is very alert. In addition, there are players who lack skill on reacting quickly and alertness but are good on making strategies. Overall, in choosing which one to choose, it is up to our own interest. But, it doesn’t mean that if you lack on making strategies then you can’t play Strategy Games and vice versa. We could explore different genres once in a while even if we are not good at it. After all, gaming is fun.

What Keeps Me Busy

There are many things that keeps me busy now. Almost all of these are leisure activites. First and foremost: Anime. Right now, I am watching different kinds of anime now. Almost all of them are dvd's and not from the television. Maybe because I like watching anime with thier real voices with subtitles and not dubbed in Filipino. Whenever I have time, I buy anime dvd's. Also, I can say that watching anime have been one of my hobbies even when I am just a child. Another thing that keeps me busy is playing the guitar ans listening to music. Honestly, I have just started playing the guitar a year ago because during the year before that, I have no interest whatsoevr ing guitar playing and even music. The only music that I only listen before was classical and jpop. But now, I think that I play and listen and to every kind of music except hip-hop, which I doubt that I will like. Another think that keeps me busy is arranging songs. Right now, I already arranged three songs to my own version. With the help from Guitar Pro, a computer program that plays notations, I was able to make my own versions of Cry, Only Reminds Me of You and With or Without You. At first, I am just making my own songs but I had some difficulty because I am just a beginner so I went first to making covers. Another thing that keeps me busy is computer games. One of the games that I am recently playiong is Warcraft III. Last but definitely not the least, studying. As as student, it is expected that I should prioritize my studies so I gave time on studying my lessons. That's all for now..Thanks for reading...
